Friday October 3, 6:30-8:30 PM at the Howe Sound Curling Club, 2458 Mamquam Road, Squamish. We are attached to the Squamish Valley Golf Course.
Open to All Come discover the sport! Everyone is welcome. Try Curling! is suitable for both the non-initiated curious and the novice curler with little or no experience.
Registration Cost is $10 per person. Participants must register in advance. For ages 8+ and the young at heart. 32 spots available. Please arrive 15 minutes early at 6:15 PM for a prompt 6:30 PM start.
Overview Come out and give curling a try! You will get an on-ice initiation lesson in curling, followed by some open practice time. This 2-hour session includes an instructor and all required equipment— grippers, brooms, sliders, stabilizers, and delivery sticks if preferred. Bring warm clothes, clean running shoes, and a friend! Head protection is welcomed and optional. We will form groups of eight so you will be paired with others.
Limited mobility/flexibility? We offer stick curling, an upright delivery of the stone, which is widely enjoyed at the club.
Equipment The club provides all equipment. Please, bring clean indoor shoes to change into to be worn on the ice. We will outfit you with club grippers and sliders. The air temperature is 5C. Wear warm layers, headwear and handwear.
