Saturdays October 11, 18, and 25th 10:45 AM-12:45 PM at the Howe Sound Curling Club, 2458 Mamquam Road, Squamish. We are attached to the Squamish Valley Golf Course.
Open to All Come discover the sport! Everyone is welcome. Learn-to-Curl! is suitable for both the non-initiated curious and the novice curler with little or no experience. Open to the public and members of the club alike.
Program Overview This hands-on 3-Saturday morning progressive class covers curling fundamentals, including stone delivery, sweeping techniques, and how to play the famous "chess on ice" game. Interested folks and novice curlers will get comfortable on the ice and learn the core techniques. With experienced coaches guiding you every step of the way, this program offers a fun, social, and accessible way to discover the sport
Equipment The club provides all equipment. Please, bring clean indoor shoes to change into to be worn on the ice. We will outfit you with club grippers and sliders. The air temperature is 5C. Wear warm layers, headwear and handwear.
